This is my fav place to get supplies when I visit Perth. Great coffee and cannoli, excellent quality meat and veg and lots of yummy, homemade options to go. Always love visiting Tony Ales.
I don't know why people have to comment negative small minded comments. You know how hard it is to get a shop going? This is by far one if the best freshest quality markets I have been to so be kind.
fresh fruit platter was so sweet and fresh. You can tell they use quality and tried the D AND S Sweets. So fresh. Will be going again today. I support local.Thank you
The chicken and veg pie was a delightful surprise. The crust was perfectly flaky, and the filling was a comforting blend of tender chicken and a medley of flavorful vegetables. It was seasoned just right, and the portion size was generous. A comforting and satisfying choice for a hearty meal.
As for the apple strudel, it was a sweet sensation. The pastry was crispy and golden, while the apple filling inside was warm, sweet, and spiced to perfection. It had a wonderful balance of textures and flavors. Served with a dollop of vanilla ice cream, it was the ideal ending to the meal. I’ll definitely be returning for more!
I don't mind paying extra for better quality but this place is highway robbery, the only thing missing is the balaclavas. Mortadella $30/kg exactly same product at the Re Store $26/kg, $4/kg difference, come on !!! Really expensive store. Good selection. Good butcher and coffee cake shop.
Great vegetable shopping - with deli, butchery and cafe selections. Reasonably priced and lots of interesting food items to browse. Cakes, cannoli, eclairs etc are cheaper than most Perth places (can choose large or small) ...and the coffees very decent. Outdoor seating area could benefit from expanding into the carpark.
The single star is because fussy meats is great butcher.
Google says store open until 18:30. With a trolly of stuff I went to Deli Counter at exactly 18:00. Lady refused to serve me and just said 6 o clock we are closed”. I asked and said is just 6 now to which she just said “yes we are closed”.
Went to the butchers (fussy meats)
and they were very happy to serve me.
On way out I asked lady at check-out (very helpful) about the deli and she asked the Deli lady why to which she got same. “6 we are closed” with a very frustrated shake of the head.
Check out lady apologised (no need, she just tried to help).
It’s very easy to go elsewhere, which is exactly what I will be doing from now on.
Ignore the small handful of negative reviews, this place is an institution. Marcos fussy meats with their excellent pies, sausage rolls as well as their excellent butcher range, Dolce and Salato with their rolls, pizza, desserts and coffee and Tony Ales own deli section are all excellent, the only problem is deciding between the three for breakfast/lunch. On top of that the produce is great, imported smallgoods, range of pasta, sauces, cheeses both local and imported... the list goes on. Just be prepared to dodge other customers, it's a small place and always busy. Can't recommend enough.
Greatest bakery with best chunkiest pies and savories!!! Top quality produce, wish they had many more branches. - Probably its time to wipe out giant retailers. Help our locals!
